James Wazeter (COMPETITOR)

My journey as a rifleman started as a young boy. As long as I can remember, I had always been infatuated with marksmanship. At age twelve, my pleas to be introduced into the world were granted. My parents and I built a range on our lot, and I was gifted an air rifle. Learning through what had to be cases of pellets being launched at low speeds, a profound respect for the fundamentals of marksmanship and atmospherics was instilled. I was hooked. My days were spent plinking away, ever pushing the limits of what that rifle could do, while my nights were spent scouring the internet to learn more.

Fast forward twenty years later, I still hold a deep passion for precision rifles and becoming the best rifleman I can. Throughout those twenty years, I also found another passion - teaching. I first discovered this as a young man pursuing high fitness goals. As my knowledge expanded on fitness, I found myself working in the industry and coaching others who shared a passion for fitness. After ten years of this, I transitioned away from the industry altogether to invest my focus on a new career. During this time, it became evident that I needed to reincorporate teaching into my life, leading me to combine my passion for helping others with my longest standing passion, precision rifle.

My personal time behind a rifle is still primarily spent testing my own limits and experiencing new ways to deploy equipment. I am also a frequent competitor in precision rifle competitions like PRS. My goals are to continue evolving my own understanding and capability with a mindset of always being a student of the craft while sharing my experiences and passion with like-minded folks.
